ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU and DSEAR
What are these about?
ATEX and DSEAR regulations cover the control of potentially explosive atmospheres in the workplace created by fumes and gasses. They require employers to undertake risk assessments, identify danger zones and take appropriate action to minimise the dangers of explosion. This may range from the selection of safer equipment and processes to increasing safety systems and protection.
In what way does Safetykleen help?
The Directives only apply to parts cleaners and spraygun cleaners which use organic solvents and therefore produce VOCs; aqueous machines do not produce VOCs. All machines supplied by Safetykleen are CE marked and manufactured to the requirements of the ATEX Directive and DSEAR.
